The Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project “Change with Ecological Awareness” (Project No. 2025-3-ES02-KA152-YOU-000368105) was held in Alcobendas, Spain, from 29 March to 4 April 2026, under the coordination of Asociación Green Eurosanse. Bringing together young participants from Spain, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Türkiye, and Estonia, the project created an international learning environment where young people explored environmental sustainability, ecological responsibility, and active citizenship through non-formal education while strengthening intercultural dialogue and European cooperation.

An important component of the project focused on helping participants evaluate their learning journey and recognize the competences they had developed throughout the mobility experience. Through Youthpass-based reflection activities, participants assessed the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they had gained while taking part in workshops, discussions, simulations, and collaborative environmental activities.

Individual reflection sessions encouraged participants to evaluate their personal development in areas such as communication, teamwork, intercultural learning, environmental awareness, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These activities enabled young people to better understand not only what they had learned during the exchange but also how these competences could support their future educational, professional, and personal development.

Group reflection sessions provided a valuable opportunity for participants from different countries to exchange experiences and learn from one another. By discussing the impact of the project on their perspectives and attitudes, participants identified common environmental challenges, shared good practices from their communities, and reflected on how international cooperation can contribute to more sustainable solutions. These exchanges strengthened intercultural understanding while fostering solidarity, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to environmental responsibility.

The evaluation process also encouraged participants to identify the most meaningful moments of the project, discuss opportunities for improvement, and generate ideas for future environmental initiatives. Rather than marking the end of the learning process, these reflection activities inspired participants to transform the knowledge and awareness they had gained into concrete actions within their local communities, multiplying the long-term impact of the project.

By the end of the project, participants had strengthened their environmental awareness, intercultural communication, teamwork, self-assessment, and active citizenship competences. Most importantly, they developed a deeper understanding of how individual actions contribute to environmental sustainability and left the exchange motivated to promote sustainable lifestyles and inspire positive change within their local communities. The “Change with Ecological Awareness” project concluded as a meaningful international learning experience that empowered young people to become more environmentally conscious, responsible, and active European citizens.
