The Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project “Change with Ecological Awareness” (Project No. 2025-3-ES02-KA152-YOU-000368105) was held in Alcobendas, Spain, from 29 March to 4 April 2026, under the coordination of Asociación Green Eurosanse. Bringing together young participants from Spain, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Türkiye, and Estonia, the project aimed to raise environmental awareness, promote sustainable lifestyles, and strengthen active citizenship through non-formal education while fostering intercultural dialogue and international cooperation.

Throughout the project, participants had the opportunity to explore sustainable living practices and environmentally responsible approaches through a variety of educational activities and practical experiences. By observing organizations and initiatives working in the fields of recycling, resource management, and environmental sustainability, they gained a deeper understanding of how ecological principles can be applied in everyday life. These experiences helped participants see sustainability not only as a theoretical concept but also as a practical solution to global environmental challenges.

Group discussions, teamwork, and collaborative learning activities encouraged participants to reflect on the role that individuals and communities can play in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Sharing experiences and perspectives with peers from different countries enabled them to better understand the international dimension of environmental issues while strengthening their intercultural communication, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.

Evaluation and reflection sessions provided participants with the opportunity to assess the knowledge, skills, and competences they had developed throughout the youth exchange. They reflected on their progress in environmental awareness, teamwork, leadership, communication, active citizenship, and intercultural collaboration while identifying ways to apply these competences in their personal, educational, and professional lives.

By the end of the project, participants had gained a stronger understanding of individual responsibility in protecting the environment and were encouraged to become active promoters of sustainable practices within their local communities. The “Change with Ecological Awareness” project successfully demonstrated how international youth cooperation, experiential learning, and environmental education can empower young people to become environmentally conscious, socially responsible, and active citizens committed to building a more sustainable future.
